What are Skills?

Skills are knowledge documents that your AI assistant can load into context. There are two types:

System Skills

All Users

Pre-built skills with expert Meta Ads knowledge. Decision trees, best practices, and frameworks developed by performance marketers.

Custom Skills

Pro+

Your own markdown knowledge documents. Create agency processes, client guidelines, or industry-specific frameworks.

Structured Frameworks

Skills include decision trees, step-by-step processes, and proven frameworks that ensure consistent, high-quality analysis.

Context Efficient

Skills use lazy loading - only the relevant sections are loaded when needed, keeping your AI conversations fast and efficient.

MCP Prompts

Skills appear as MCP prompts your AI can discover and load automatically when they're relevant to your question.

Pro, Team, and Enterprise users can create their own custom skills - markdown knowledge documents that are loaded into AI context when needed. Perfect for agency-specific processes, client guidelines, or industry knowledge.

Creating a Custom Skill

Go to Skills in your dashboard

Navigate to Dashboard → Skills and select the "My Skills" tab.

Click "Create Skill"

Fill in the name, description, category, and target platforms for your skill.

Write your content in Markdown

Add your frameworks, checklists, best practices, or any knowledge you want the AI to use.

Publish and activate

Save as draft or publish. Activate the skill to make it available to your AI assistant.

Personal

Only you can see and use this skill. Perfect for personal workflows.

Organization

Team members in your organization can see and activate this skill.

Public

Anyone can discover and activate your skill. Great for sharing knowledge.

How Skills Work

When you ask your AI assistant about Meta Ads optimization, it automatically loads the relevant skill to provide expert-level guidance:

Ask a Meta Ads Question

Ask your AI assistant anything about Meta Ads - bid strategies, campaign structure, performance issues, scaling, etc.

Relevant Skill is Loaded

Skills MCP Tools

Four MCP tools are available for working with skills:

skill_list

List all available skills. Use skill_type parameter to filter: "system", "custom", or "all" (default).

skill_get

Get skill content by ID, slug, or UUID. Supports both system skills (e.g., meta-bid-strategy-selector) and custom skills (by UUID or slug).

skill_search

Search skills by keyword. Finds relevant skills across names, descriptions, and content.

skill_run_script

Execute a skill's Python analysis script. Some system skills include automated analysis tools that process your ad data.
