What does Ad Superpowers connect?
Ad Superpowers connects your AI assistant to supported advertising and analytics platforms through MCP. Your assistant calls tools to retrieve data or make permitted changes. The tool reference lists the current operations; the tools visible in a client can depend on your connections, role, workspace and that client's restrictions.
Which assistant should I connect?
Use the setup overview to choose the installation guide for your client. ChatGPT users can install the published Ad Superpowers plugin and sign in with their own account. Each guide covers sign-in, API keys where needed and a read-only connection check. Client availability and requirements differ, so follow the guide for the actual product you use.
Do I need a payment card to try it?
New accounts start with a free 14-day trial, no card needed, with 50 tool calls a month. The trial runs from workspace creation. Creating an account does not automatically start a paid subscription.
Choosing a paid plan is a separate checkout. A new paid checkout starts paid billing immediately, without an additional card trial. Check pricing for current prices and the dashboard for your trial end and effective allowance. Existing subscriptions that already have a card trial follow their own displayed end date.
What counts as a tool call?
One invocation of an Ad Superpowers tool is one tool call. A workflow that asks the assistant to invoke several tools uses several calls. Usage belongs to the workspace used by the request. When the allowance is exhausted, further metered calls are blocked; a different chat does not create a new allowance.
Why is an account visible in the dashboard but missing in my assistant?
First compare the active workspace using workspace_info. A connector can still be bound to your personal workspace after you switch the dashboard to a team workspace. Also check account selection, member assignments, platform permissions and connection health. Follow the missing-account checks.
I connected another platform. How do I get its tools?
The tool list your AI assistant sees is unlocked per connected platform and limited by your access. After connecting another platform, update the tools in your client: for the ChatGPT plugin, start a new chat with the plugin enabled; for a ChatGPT custom connection, use Refresh, then start a new chat; in Claude, toggle the Ad Superpowers connector off and on (or restart the app); in Claude Code, Cursor or other MCP clients, reload the MCP server or restart the client. Your data and settings are untouched.
Published ChatGPT plugin updates follow OpenAI's review process; Refresh applies to custom connections. If tools are still missing, check your workspace, platform access and client policy in troubleshooting.
Does every teammate have to connect the advertising platform?
No. A teammate can use a workspace connection through their own Ad Superpowers identity when their role and account access allow it. Owners and admins have broader access; members can reach assigned accounts plus their own selected connections. Do not share an owner's login or API key. See workspace and team setup.
Does a client profile control account permissions?
No. A client profile supplies goals, budgets, linked account IDs and other business context. Profiles are visible within the workspace. Member account assignments and write permission are separate controls. See client profiles.
Can the assistant change campaigns?
Supported write tools can make changes when your workspace, personal permission and platform access allow it. Check workspace_info and the write-permission settings. A “do not change anything” prompt expresses your intent; a read-only permission setting enforces it.
What is the difference between a skill and a workflow?
A skill provides an analysis framework or specialist knowledge. A workflow provides a repeatable task template with inputs. Both are managed in the dashboard Library. Loading either does not prove that the assistant retrieved the data or finished the task.
Is all advertising history stored?
No. Short-lived API response caching, internal usage/action records and the optional external changes archive are different stores. External Logging currently supports Google Ads, Meta and selected GA4 configuration changes with coverage limits. Custom skills, workflows, client profiles and temporary uploaded media have their own storage behavior. Read data and privacy and change history.
