ChatGPT Setup
Connect Ad Superpowers to ChatGPT via OAuth - no API key required! Set up in the web browser, then use on desktop too. Requires ChatGPT Plus or higher.
Prerequisites
Important: Setup must be done in the web browser at chatgpt.com. After setup, you can also use it on the desktop app.
Subscription requirements:
- Plus: Read/fetch MCP access
- Business/Enterprise/Edu: Full MCP including write actions
- Free: Custom MCP not available
Not supported: ChatGPT mobile app (iOS/Android)
Enable Developer Mode (Web)
Open chatgpt.com in your browser. Go to Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings → Enable Developer Mode.
Our official app is pending review by OpenAI, until approved, Developer Mode must stay enabled.
Create the Ad Superpowers App
In the Apps sidebar, click "Add an app" (or go to Settings → Apps → Create) and configure:
- Name: Ad Superpowers
- MCP Server URL: https://mcp.adsuperpowers.ai/v1
- Authentication: OAuth (leave client ID and secret empty)
Connect and Log In
Click "Create". A browser window will open where you can log in with your Ad Superpowers email and password.
Start Using
Once connected, the marketing features will be available in ChatGPT. ChatGPT will prompt you to review and approve any write actions.
Tips
- Setup must be done in the web browser (chatgpt.com). After that, you can also use Ad Superpowers on the ChatGPT desktop app.
- When using the desktop app, keep Developer Mode enabled and make sure you have the same account selected (check bottom-left corner).
- Our official app is awaiting review by OpenAI, once approved, Developer Mode will no longer be needed.
- Mobile app (iOS/Android) does not support MCP connectors.
- Each tool call includes an expandable JSON payload for inspection.
- Business/Enterprise admins can publish connectors for their workspace.
