Connect ChatGPT.

Before you begin

Use the published Ad Superpowers plugin to connect ChatGPT to your advertising accounts. You need an Ad Superpowers account with an active trial or subscription. If you are new, you can create your account during connection below. An advertising platform can be connected afterward.

Select the personal or organization ChatGPT workspace where you will use the plugin. Its subscription and administrator policy determine plugin and app availability. Your Ad Superpowers workspace holds your platform connections, account access and tool-call allowance. You choose that workspace separately when authorizing the app.

Installing the plugin, authorizing its Ad Superpowers app, and connecting an advertising platform are separate steps. A healthy platform connection does not prove that ChatGPT has the reporting tools it needs.

1. Install the ChatGPT plugin

Open the Ad Superpowers plugin in ChatGPT and select the plus button to install it. This listing uses the production server and your production Ad Superpowers account and workspace. For a development server, use the advanced custom connection with that environment's server URL. Connect the Ad Superpowers app when prompted, either during installation or on first use.

If your ChatGPT workspace blocks installation or the required app, ask its administrator to provide access. The administrator checks below distinguish plugin availability, app access and personal authorization.

Already using a custom connection? You can keep it. Test the published plugin separately in a new chat so you know which connection supplied the result.

2. Connect your own account

Sign in with your own Ad Superpowers identity:

• Existing account: sign in and select the Ad Superpowers workspace containing your advertising account on the consent screen.
• New account with Google: complete sign-up. If asked, enter your company name and website, then choose Review assistant access to continue to consent.
• New account with email: the sign-up link opens a separate tab. Finish creating your account, then return to the original connection window and sign in. If that connection session has expired, start connecting again from ChatGPT.

Review the workspace and requested access, then authorize the app. Each colleague authorizes their own account; do not share an API key or password. For team account access, see workspace permissions.

Switching the dashboard workspace alone does not retarget a connection you already authorized in ChatGPT. To change its bound workspace, reconnect the app and select the intended Ad Superpowers workspace on the consent screen.

3. Connect a platform and return

Open your Ad Superpowers dashboard with the same account, even if no dashboard window opened automatically. Select the same workspace you authorized above. In Integrations, connect or reconnect the advertising platform if needed and select at least one account. A team member may already have access through a workspace connection and assigned account.

Return to ChatGPT yourself after completing platform setup. Check your personal access to the plugin's app and tools, then start a new chat with the Ad Superpowers plugin enabled. The visible tools depend on your connected platforms and permissions; see the expected subset below.

4. Check a real result

In that new chat, ask:

Use workspace_info to show my Ad Superpowers workspace and role.
Use Ad Superpowers skill(action="connection_health") to check my
platform connections. Then list the advertising accounts I can access.
Do not change anything.

Check the expected workspace, account name and account ID. Then test a reporting tool:

For [account name and ID], show campaign spend and conversions
for the last 7 days. Include the date range and currency.
Do not change any campaigns.

Compare the account, dates and currency with the advertising platform. Confirm that ChatGPT called an Ad Superpowers reporting tool and returned its result. A health summary or a plausible answer without a tool call is not a successful report. An empty report is valid when the tool explicitly reports no data for the selected account and period.

For workspace administrators

ChatGPT workspace administration controls plugin and app availability. Ad Superpowers workspace roles control access to advertising accounts and tools. Check both layers:

1. Open Admin → Plugins in the intended ChatGPT workspace. Make the Ad Superpowers plugin available to the required roles under its installation policy.
2. Open Workspace apps and enable the required Ad Superpowers app for those roles. Plugin availability and app access are separate controls.
3. Review Action control and App permissions, where available. Allow the read tools required for the pilot; do not enable campaign writes just to test onboarding.
4. Compare the discovered tool names with the relevant part of the server catalog below, including every page of the list. First confirm the connected platforms, allowed platforms and read/write access in the Ad Superpowers workspace; then check ChatGPT policy. A public plugin catalog CSV lists plugin/app/skill metadata, not all tools. Record intentional restrictions. Contact support only if a tool expected for this connection is still missing after these checks.
5. Have a member sign in personally, choose the intended Ad Superpowers workspace, check their visible tools, and run the read test above in a new chat. Verify the administrator and member independently; administrator success does not prove member access. See team permissions for account assignments.

After a policy change or reconnect, recheck personal access and start a new chat with the plugin enabled before retrying. Published plugins receive tool updates through OpenAI's review process; the Refresh control for custom connections does not publish a plugin update.

Advanced: custom connection

Use this manual route only when you need a custom MCP connection and your ChatGPT workspace permits it. It is separate from the published plugin; it does not bypass workspace policy.

In ChatGPT on the web:

1. Open Settings → Security and login → Developer mode, if available for your account.
2. Open Plugins, select the plus button and name the connection Ad Superpowers.
3. Under Connection, choose the public server URL and enter the exact address below. Select OAuth if authentication choices are shown; this service supports automatic client registration.
4. Create the connection and complete the personal sign-in steps above. Review the discovered tools before using it.

Keep the /v1 ending. If creation or Developer mode is unavailable, ask your workspace administrator to provide access or use another supported client.

For a custom connection, use Refresh in its details after authentication or tool metadata changes, inspect the resulting tools, and start a new chat. Keep this separate from the published plugin's update process.

If something goes wrong

Server catalog and visible tools

This generated catalog lists the server's capabilities. Your connection normally exposes a subset:

• Platform tools appear for platforms connected in the bound Ad Superpowers workspace and allowed for that workspace.
• Read-only access hides write tools, including shared editing tools.
• Some tools also depend on feature availability and permissions. Media staging, the meta_ad_plan / meta_ad_execute tools and change history may be absent for this connection.
• ChatGPT workspace policy and personal access can restrict that list further.

For example, a read-only connection to a workspace with only Google Ads is not expected to expose Meta tools or campaign-write tools. Use workspace_info to check the bound workspace, role and write permission. Use skill(action="connection_health") to check platform health. Ask your Ad Superpowers workspace administrator to confirm allowed platforms and feature availability; the health check does not list those policies. Then compare the relevant tool names below with the discovered list. A healthy connection still needs a successful reporting call.

Do not enable extra platforms, writes or features merely to match the full catalog. If an expected read tool for an enabled platform is missing after checking these layers and starting a new chat, contact support with its name. The deployed server and this catalog may differ during a rollout.
