# Your first useful answer.

Connect one advertising account and check that your AI assistant can read the right data.

## Before you begin

You need an Ad Superpowers account with an active trial or subscription, access to the advertising account you want to use, and an [AI client that supports the connection](https://adsuperpowers.ai/docs/setup).

## 1. Check your workspace

Open your [dashboard](https://adsuperpowers.ai/dashboard). If you belong to more than one workspace, select the workspace you want to use before connecting an account.

For agency work, confirm which client and advertising account the task concerns. Use the same account throughout this first check.

## 2. Connect a platform

Open [Integrations](https://adsuperpowers.ai/dashboard/integrations), choose your platform and complete its sign-in flow. Grant the access needed for the accounts you intend to use.

Return to Integrations and check that the connection is present. If an account is missing, follow the [connection checks](https://adsuperpowers.ai/docs/troubleshooting) before continuing.

## 3. Connect your assistant

Follow the [installation guide for your AI client](https://adsuperpowers.ai/docs/setup). For ChatGPT, use the [published plugin guide](https://adsuperpowers.ai/docs/setup/chatgpt) to install the plugin and authorize your own Ad Superpowers workspace. Other guides explain whether to sign in through a connector or use an API key.

Use the Ad Superpowers server address when the guide asks for it:

Keep API keys in your client's connection settings. Do not paste them into a chat message.

## 4. Check the result

Start a new conversation in your assistant and ask:

```text
List the advertising accounts I can access. Do not change anything.
```

Confirm that the expected account appears. Then ask a question with a specific account and date range:

```text
For [account name and ID], show campaign spend and conversions
for the last 7 days. Include the date range and currency.
Do not change any campaigns.
```

Check the account, dates and currency in the answer against the platform. If the assistant cannot call a tool, return to its [installation guide](https://adsuperpowers.ai/docs/setup). If it can call tools but cannot find your account, use [troubleshooting](https://adsuperpowers.ai/docs/troubleshooting).
